We believe in durability through long life, which is why we have focused on the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship. The Strekk system is made of FSC certified solid wood that is turned by skilled hands here in Europe.
From idea to shelving
Strekk Premium System was launched in autumn 2024 by Strekk Design AB. The result is a timeless modular furniture — a shelving system based on quality, design and flexibility with pillars as the foundation.
Strekk's founder, Johan Thomson, grew up in his father's workshop and has always had a fondness for wood and a keen interest in architecture, furniture and design, which has been a prerequisite for Strekk's existence.
For several years, Johan's idea grew and the furniture took shape.
During the period 2020-2024, development work was underway on countless prototype series for what is today the Strekk modular system, created for a lifetime of elegance.
Manufacturing process
Our shelving systems are manufactured by experienced furniture manufacturers from Lithuania. We use FSC certified wood from Europe's forests. Our birch is grown, sawn and dried locally in Lithuania. The oak comes from Germany, Austria, Poland and Ukraine.
The pillar brackets are manufactured in the Czech Republic and the robust shelf brackets are manufactured in southern Sweden. Surface treatment takes place at factories in Stockholm and in Eskilstuna.
For us, it is important that our partners share our vision of quality and the environment, which is a prerequisite in all the work we do.

Created in interplay with nature's finest materials
Craftsmanship is meaningless without high-quality materials. At Strekk we work with the finest material that nature has to offer, wood. Our birch products are grown, sawn, dried and manufactured locally by artisan producers in Lithuania, who also manufacture our oak products with oak from Germany, Austria, Poland and Ukraine.
Strekk is created in interaction with nature, both in terms of design and philosophy. Therefore, it is a matter of course that we only use wood from FSC certified suppliers. The certification ensures that the forest is sustainably managed to preserve biodiversity, while benefiting those living adjacent to the forest. This is our way of working with the world's most fascinating material.
